YES. As long as it's immortality with eternal youth. That means no undeath, no brain-in-a-jar deals. Uploading my mind into a machine is a similar no-no, unless it's a humanoid or similar robot.

That would give me time to read every book, play every game, sing every song, et cetera. And if I get bored with this planet, there are others.

Shotguns and chainsaws.

Also, it depends on how zombies distinguish people from other zombies, and whether that has any bearing on whether they'll attack someone or not.

1. If they can tell the difference between the living and the undead, and they don't attack each other (preferring only the tasty, tasty flesh/brains of the living), then I pretend to be a zombie when I have to go out in the world.

2. If they do attack each other, or can't tell between people from zombies, blow everything up.

My initial thoughts used to run "TALKING CAT YES PLZ", but now I wonder...

We would end up killing each other over a game of Brawl, or a cake, or something equally trivial. Or if we agree on everything, we'd still end up killing ourselves, possibly by setting ourselves on fire and blowing up our environs in a freak toilet-related accident. But on the off-chance that we don't end up removing ourselves from existence, we would do the same thing I already do: pick the nice things from life, ignore the other parts in the hope that they'll go away, and basically do nothing.

They exist, for one.

Did you know that you can make an alfredo (or a reasonable facsimile of one) by tossing in cream, garlic, chicken, and bacon, and praying fervently to the gods of cookery that it doesn't blow up?

[Error: unknown template qotd] Not sure if she counts, but Thursday Next comes to mind.

Edit: Jasper Fforde's other book series (Nursery Crimes) has Mary Mary, who I think has the rank of Detective in Reading PD, but again, I am not sure.

Am also rather fond of the Stephanie Plum books, for some reason.

Actually, the BBC is decent enough.

You know what caught my imagination? Baba Yaga. CHICKENLEG HOUSE! The witch actually had a house with giant bird legs, and it could move! Presumably she ate children too, but I can't remember. Also, wiki tells me that Baba Yaga is actually the name of part of the suite Pictures at an Exhibition (which seems to get EVERYWHERE.)

I keep trying to go all internetty when the power is out. I may just have to rig the router and wireless antenna with some sort of battery device. Possibly powered by lightning. *puts on mad scientist coat and goggles* MWAHAHAHA!

E3! I've never followed it much until recently. Hmm. Perhaps a coincidence, but I am using the Eee for this.

I turn 24 on the 24th. According to Chinese lore, the number eight represents double happiness. With six of them converging, I better damn well be twelve times as happy. Perhaps I'll celebrate the year of the Fire Ox by eating one. Fire + Bovine = Deliciousness.

I had no idea they were making Gold and Silver for the DS. Yay! Time to put together my team again. Espeon, Lapras, Houndoom, woo!

His name is Nick. He is a boy. After over a decade I still love him, and would very much like it to stop.

Or not. That's good too.

For the what, it's either books, games, or chocolate. I'm building a harem.

On a random note, there is a Neopets commercial on TV in the next room, and it is so surreal to hear something about it not on the intertubes.

I find it hilarious that the game with the most f-bombs ever (a guinness world record) - House of the dead: Overkill - is on the Wii, of all places. Oh, also. The DSi comes out in April, and once it gets here you bet I'm getting one.

I thought I already answered this. In order of preference: Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Envy, Anger, Pride.

I've been playing brawl; I had no idea that Subspace Emissary was so long. Anyway - Squirtle is a monster, Dedede is awesome, and Kirby... is still a squishy pink ball of death, just like I remember him.

Hello schizophrenic weather. Hot then cold then hot then rainy and foggy, which doesn't necessarily make it cold. XO

I thought my brother was going to get a Wii for his birthday, and I was going to get the 360. However, that fell through, so I got a Wii instead. WII! WII! *flails about like an overjoyed headless chicken*

However, I mistakenly updated the firmware to 3.4, and it won't run some of my games. Or rather, didn't. Homebrew to the rescue! I installed the Homebrew Channel via the twihack, and GeckoOS through the homebrew channel, and everything works now. :D

I love how the DS and Wii have such a large homebrew base.

So what I have now: Brawl, Mario Kart, Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil 4, Twilight Princess, Okami, Bully, Tales of Symphonia, Whatever version of Soul Calibur is on the Wii, and Metroid Prime 3. The store was sold out of Super Mario Galaxy and No More Heroes, but they should get some soon. On the Gamecube front (yay Camecube support!), I'll still have to get a controller, and Killer7. Hopefully there are still copies left of the first Tales of Symphonia, Skies of Arcadia and Ikaruga (Ha, like that's gonna happen). However, I need moar. MOAR I SAY. Anyone have any recommendations?

Gods, I haven't had a proper Nintendo console in my life since late 1998. It feels wonderful. And as an added bonus, I can run NES, SNES and N64 games on it.

Also, writer's block:

No matter how nice the particular day is, I refuse to be groundhogged. There was Nick's birthday six years ago though - I think it was his 15th - and it was rather nice. We hardly left the bed.

Oh yes. I'm an Ox. It's MY year. :D 1997 was a good one, and this should be one as well. I turn 24 on June 24. If eight is double happiness in Chinese folklore, that's six times the happiness right there.

Big, stubborn, and sometimes slow... yes, I'm an Ox all right.

Also, for those on LJ that possibly want to jump ship, WordPress can import from LiveJournal easily now. WordPress is nice, too, so in the unlikely event that LJ goes boom, that's another good option.

They certainly helped me weather that abominable cold. However, I'm still coughing a lot.

Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, naturally. Of course, I'll have to wear earplugs and blindfolds so I don't have House bothering me. Well, until the consult from Sacred Heart comes in, so I get to see all the lovely fireworks from a House/Cox grudgematch.

You know what makes a stingy bookworm's heart go all aflutter? Shopping for bargains in second-hand bookstores.

Good: Redwall and Mattimeo, for 120 pesos each (US$ 2.40)
Better: A Wizard of Earthsea, 39PHP/80 Cents.
Best: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, 19PHP/38 cents.

Their loss, my sweet, sweet gain.
